記憶の抹消に抗う、沈黙した風景が語りはじめる――芸術的ビジョンによる静かな反逆。

東京での初個展となる本展では、中国での公開が認められなかった作品が披露されます。
このミクストメディア・プロジェクトは、上海の古い都市風景がいかに“過剰に日常化（ハイパーノーマリゼーション）”されているかに着目しています。

『Leave Blank（リーブ・ブランク）』は、写真が持つ「真実」と、創造的な「現実」との境界を問いかける試みでもあります。
タイトルは、古代中国絵画において意図的に空白を残す技法「留白」に由来しており、本作では検閲の影響や芸術的な抵抗の可能性についても取り扱っています。

中国国内の32名のクリエイターたちと協働しながら、作者は「まだ夢を見る余白がある」というメッセージを提示しています。

マーク・アジズ・レッサン

Born in The Netherlands, shaped by Shanghai, and now based in Tokyo, Marc Aziz Ressang is an experimental photographer and filmmaker, creating alternative visions of the world around us. For his Tokyo debut, he brings a show that was denied a public viewing in China - a mixed media project that revolves around the hypernormalization of Shanghai’s older urban landscape.
