CASE-K MOONSHINE

Born in Tokyo in 1952, he was raised by his grandparents in Toyama Prefecture until his third year of junior high school. Amid a complex family environment, he found solace in art and music.

He went on to university, where he formed rock bands such as Dr. KEI & Matenrou and Datetenryu, taking on roles as vocalist and guitarist.

After graduation, he joined Union Publishing, a subsidiary of Office Two-One, and studied under leading figures of the time such as Yu Aku, Takashi Miki, and Daisuke Inoue. He had the opportunity to witness the production of music for top artists at their peak, including Pink Lady and Kenji Sawada.

He later went independent and co-founded the music production company Being with Daikoh Nagato and Tetsuro Oda, becoming its vice president. He was involved in producing artists such as BOØWY and LOUDNESS, and also handled art direction.

In 1984, he established the creative agency Public Image, nurturing renowned artists like LINDBERG, ZIGGY, and Naomi Tamura, while also overseeing art direction for some of them.

As a producer who took the music scene by storm, his name became known not only within the music industry but also among the general public.

Around 2018, he began experiencing hearing issues that limited his musical activities. From that point, he began dedicating himself more seriously to art, and in February 2020, he held his first solo exhibition, which was met with great success.
