Tristan Allaire

Tristan, a French multimedia artist and founder of the independent game studio Brouillard, blends art and interactivity in his work. Known by his alias ZendSeeker, his creations span photography, software engineering, and 2D/3D art, influenced by Brutalism, surrealism, and light and shadow. As the sole creator behind the game FAR FRESNEL, he conceived its concept, designed its visuals, wrote its narrative, and developed its interactive experience from the ground up. Through Brouillard, Tristan pushes the boundaries of gaming by merging storytelling, technology, and art to create immersive experiences.

Tristan’s gaming journey began with watching his sister play Myst as a child, sparking his passion for interactive storytelling. He started creating point-and-click games using HTML and dreamed of opening a game studio. Although he set aside this dream due to the technical complexity, he pursued a love for visual arts, focusing on photography, video production, and storytelling.

In the 2020 lockdown, Tristan revisited game development, working on pixel art and his first project, Jenna’s Dream. He participated in two game jams, reigniting his passion for game design. In 2021, he collaborated with artist ALT236 on a 3D game called VORAGO, where he developed skills in 3D modeling, lighting, sound, and animation. Although the project was put on hold, it led to the creation of FAR FRESNEL with a team of four artists, forming Brouillard and later the Brouillard Collective—a network of creatives focused on unique, immersive gaming experiences.

Tristan has always written stories he hoped would be played, not just watched. With Brouillard, he is turning that dream into reality.
