Where graffiti meets AI—three artists redefine public art for a new era of expression.

In recent years, graffiti and street art have become more accessible and widely recognized as legitimate art forms, increasingly being showcased in public spaces. At the same time, artificial intelligence (AI) has developed rapidly, creating new tools for artistic expression. In this context, three individuals—each highly skilled in design, graffiti, and murals—will come together at Ultra Super New to present an exhibition that blends their unique approaches to creative expression. This exhibition introduces new forms that reflect the spirit of the times.

Yesca

Yesca is the pen name of a Canadian graffiti artist based in Tokyo. With over 30 years spent spray painting the world, he is widely recognized as a style writer. His work deals with imagined spaces, mark making and the impermanence of graffiti. Influenced heavily by the "Kawaii" aesthetic of Japanese characters he aims to subvert their message.

La Mano Fria

La Mano Fiera is a multifaceted graphic designer, typographer, and record label owner, who transitioned from New York to Miami. His career began in 1996 with Rice and Beans clothing, leading to numerous music and apparel productions for Beams Records and Beams T. In 1999, he founded his own record labels, including Beta Bodega and Arepaz, while also designing for renowned artists like Prefuse 73, Common, and Raekwon. His work has been featured in prominent magazines and he has performed at international festivals like Sonar. La Mano Fiera pioneered live graphic performances using duct tape in 2008 and founded the "Miami & Tokyo Beer Tour," collaborating with major breweries. He is also the founder and curator of the "Purvis Young Graffiti Wall of Fame" and organizes the "Sud Swap" event in Miami. Post-Covid-19, his exhibitions have spanned notable galleries in Tokyo and Miami.

Madblast Hiro

Originally from Gifu Prefecture, Hiro is an artist known for his large-scale murals, including a 230-meter piece created with students in Osaka in 2021, and a 16-meter mural in Gifu. He has also provided artwork for notable brands and projects like G-SHOCK, SONY, and STREET FIGHTER 6. Inspired by tokusatsu films and a passion for flames, Hiro incorporates a unique pattern in his work, stacking and arranging minimized flame images like toy blocks, exploring the intersection of figurative and abstract expression.
