Ayaka Nakamura creates paintings and video works under the theme of "the existence of life", aiming to create delicate yet strong visuals. She is active both in Japan and abroad, and in recent years, she has been engaging in artist residencies and working in the United States, Denmark, and China. Her works have been featured in numerous TV shows and magazines, and those are installed in prestigious locations such as the lounges of luxury apartments.
She has had solo exhibitions at Bunkamura Box Gallery in Tokyo and MU GALLERY in Tokyo. She has also participated in group exhibitions at EPICENTRO ART in Berlin, White Box in New York, WAH Center in New York, Anthology Film Archives in New York, ART FORMOSA in Taipei, and OLAGalleri & Ateljé in Sweden.
