Andrew Weir was born in Scotland. He studied at Gray's School of Art (Robert Gordon University) and graduated with BA (hons) in 2003. As part of his degree he also studied at
the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts in The Netherlands.
He has exhibited in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. His work is held in private collections around the world. In late 2023 he and his wife returned to Japan where he now
lives and has a studio in Tokyo.
