Born in Mie Prefecture. Chiari learned the Kintsugi technique at a Kintsugi workshop in Tokyo and is currently working independently. She repairs pottery using traditional Kintsugi techniques and teaches her own Kintsugi classes.
Chiari's favourite phrase is "Shogyo Mujo" (impermanence of all things), which means that everything in this world is in constant change. Tokyo is a city that truly embodies "shogyo mujo" (impermanence of all things).
She wants to enjoy change while cherishing the old, and thinks that this is also true of kintsugi. With kintsugi, we can accept that a piece of pottery has broken, give it new life, and enjoy it. Chiari is also exploring new ways of expression while preserving traditional techniques.
