Julia Zyubyairova was born in Ukraine, where she received her MA in Arts and Design. She works in various media, such as drawing, sculpture, and doll-making. While living in Tokyo, Julia immersed herself in the world of traditional Japanese "Kimekomi" dolls and has been meticulously studying this precise and unique craft under the guidance of a local master. In her work, she focuses on preserving traditional Japanese crafts while reimagining them in a contemporary way through her artistic vision.
