Japanese painter and textile designer. Graduated from the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts (top of class). Doctor of Cultural Properties.
Mariko presents her work mainly at the Japan Art Academy, and exhibits new works at art museums around Japan every year. She's a scholarship recipient of the Japan Art Academy (Inten). She has held solo exhibitions at department stores around the country, which always sell out. Marko has also designed kimonos that inherit Japanese culture. She has also released and sold new yukatas every year. In recent years, Mariko has been painting horses, and serves as a member of the JRA (Japan Racing Association)
