A Tokyo-area-based photographer, Naoya Takahashi is interested in color, shading, geometry, coincidence, and serendipity. I began focusing on street photography around 2018. In addition to contributing work to magazines and websites and appearing at events, he also actively participates in overseas photo exhibitions.
Tokyo has a limited land area, leaving little room for new construction. At the same time, many places are aging, which results in a constant cycle of demolition and redevelopment. This ongoing transformation, in a sense, means that each visit brings the possibility of new and interesting discoveries. For someone like Naoya, who finds joy in discovering through photography, perhaps it's fair to say that Tokyo always offers fresh opportunities to explore.
