Yamaura Nodoka

"Move as if you are traveling, and find harmony with the places you
encounter."
Born in Tokyo in 1990, currently based in Tokushima, Japan. Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 2015 with a degree in Graphic Design.
After moving to Tokushima in 2020, she has been engaged in the production of handmade washi paper at Awagami Factory. Working in a nature-rich environment, she creates works using washi paper and indigo dyeing techniques.
Since around 2014, she has developed an original pattern-based visual language called “NODOKA,” inspired by the structures of weaving and interlacing. Her work focuses on the themes of “light” and “presence.”
